particleIllusion 3.0 is a standalone, award-winning, visual effects creation application.

Since its release in 1998, particleIllusion has been used in countless TV commercials and shows,
including Enterprise, Star Trek Voyager, Max Steel, and That 70's Show to name a few.
Film
Today's films are loaded with post-production effects work, often times on very tight schedules.
particleIllusion is so fast and easy to use that it's the tool of choice when the deadline looms and
a shot needs some last-minute tweaks (more smoke, a few sparks, an extra layer of snowflakes, etc).

Pre-visualization
Even when it won't be used in the final version of a shot, particleIllusion
is the ultimate high speed particle tool for pre-viz. Its speed allows for multiple iterations in minutes,
allowing the client to "direct" the performance of explosions, smoke and other effects.
KEY BENEFITS
- Using OpenGL hardware acceleration, you'll get real-time (or near real-time) preview of most effects
and ultra-fast rendering of final output.
- Choose from an always-growing collection of preset effects from the ordinary (such as smoke, fire,
explosions, water effects, sparkles) to the unusual (colorful artistic effects, strange undersea creatures).
- Modifying an effect or creating a new one is simple. Since particleIllusion is "sprite-based"
(uses images for all of the particles), you'll find it very easy to create new effects right away.

- Forces - influence particles after they are created (wind for example).
- Library manager: easily move emitters between libraries.
- Super emitters: emitters that emit other emitters. Allows more realism and creativity - cool stuff!

- Area emitter "mask with image" option allows you to use any image or sequence as a mask for particle creation.
- Property graph improvements: spline curves, removal of "min/max" restriction on particle type properties, and display of current graph values.
- Many new color options, including "get color from layer" which allows you to simulate "displacement" effects in realtime.
- Thumbnail preview for project files, library files, and emitters.

The demo version of particleIllusion 3.0 is identical to the full version of particleIllusion with the following restrictions:
Projects are fixed at 640 x 480
Only the demo emitter library can be used
The demo emitter library can not be edited
All output has a watermark added
Projects created with the demo version can be loaded by the full version of particleIllusion.
In addition, you can load projects created in the full version into the demo version.
