KEY FEATURES
- Script Breakdown
The Script Breakdown is a visual and interactive method of completing the traditional
breakdown. Clicking on a breakdown element then simply select the breakdown category
that the element belongs to.
- Production Board
- Arranging the strips is a matter of clicking on them dragging them to the appropriate
location and letting them drop into place. You can move whole days or a single strip
using this drag and drop method.
- The day break separators contain all of the information about the location, call
times, and shoot time, advanced planning, and assigning shooting dates.
- If you want to add a new breakdown element simply click on the production board where
you want to add the element and a pop-up menu will assist you in adding the
element.
- Multiple views are also available for displaying only a particular breakdown category
or all breakdown categories.
- Strips are color-coded for Day/ Night and Interior/Exterior and will print in color
if you have a color printer.
- View the script and update scene descriptions directly from strips with a click of
the mouse.
- Special notation to indicate scenes already shot.
- Horizontal and Vertical script display.
- Automatic Days feature calculates required shooting days.
- Strip sorting based on criteria in the scene.
- Budget
The Cinergy Budgeting module is designed to be intuitive, yet gives you the
power to generate budgets for the most demanding high-dollar productions. Template
budgets from major studios are included in the base package, or you can define your
own chart of accounts that corresponds to your company's accounting system. Create
equations, global variables, and fringes easily, giving you all the features necessary
to plan your production's budget accurately, professionally, and at the most detailed
level.
- Cast & Crew List Management
We have all struggled from time to time to search through our day planner or a stack
of sticky notes to find the phone number of one of the Cast or Crew. Cinergy helps
you to keep all of the Cast and Crew information organized by being able to access
the name, address, best ways to contact an individual, and other key information.
The Cast and Crew list is an excellent example of how Cinergy ties the entire
production together. The Cast and Crew information is accessible from the call times,
production board, breakdown sheet, and other areas. Cinergy makes your life easier
and your production more organized by giving you the information you need at your
fingertips in an instant.
- Labor Rate Browser
The Cinergy Labor Rate Browser is a viewer application which allows access to a
database of union labor rates for use when estimating production budgets. Rates
are included for IATSE, Teamsters, DGA, SAG, AFTRA, AFM, and WGA, and for
below-the-line crew in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Florida, and San Francisco.
Additionally, the database contains information related to minors, insurance
requirements, fringe benefits and residual rates.
- Shot Logging
Shot Logging module collects organizes your information about every take,
camera roll, sound roll, time code, lens, script supervision mark, and more into one
convenient and easily accessible package.
For both single camera feature films and multi-camera sitcoms, Cinergy is the
most powerful tool you can use to accurately record shot logging information.
Connect a qualified timecode reader to your system and accurately log timecodes with
the press of a single button. No longer will you need to transcribe timecodes from a
hard-to-read monitor or bulky external device. Connect a video input device to your
system and you can use Cinergy Video Assist to view the camera's video tap and take
continuity snapshots whenever you need one.
- Timecode Capture
Capture time code into your shot log automatically, without the need to transcribe
numbers! Shorten the time that you spend in post production, and clearly identify
shot locations on audio and/or camera rolls. Time is money and time code is
priceless. Cinergy gives you the power to integrate various data points into a
central system, streamlining your production flow, reducing costs, and adding
efficiency to your production.
- Camera Monitor Preview
The Cinergy VideoAssist module is an add-on that allows script supervisors and shot
loggers to view the camera’s video tap directly on their computer’s screen. This
allows easier monitoring of continuity and shot descriptions. Snapshots can be
captured at one or more points during a take, and those snapshots appear directly
on the shot logging reports and various Cinergy reporting screens.
- Digital Shot Log Output
Completes the logging process by taking your production information logged through
the On-The-Set application and exporting it directly into a non-linear editing system using
either tab-delimited, Avid Log Exchange, Lightworks FDB, or Media-100 PowerLog file formats.
This feature eliminates the need to manually transcribe data between paper notes and
a computer editing system. Editors can receive the log files electronically thus saving time and reducing production cost.
- Call Sheet Management and Printing
Cinergy give you the power to view the call times for the cast and print out call
sheet reports. Further more you can view, manage, and print reports for the shooting
time schedules.

"Cinergy is jam-packed with features for the pre-production and
production crowd. In post-production, the major function required by an editor is to
get the shot lists, camera logs and director's notes. All these are provided by
Cinergy.
Breaking down the script and assisting in the creation of production boards and call
sheets are wonderfully helpful to the pre-production staff. On set, Cinergy is mostly
a script supervisor's tool -- and if he/she uses it correctly, will greatly improve
the production and post-production phases."
